Overview

Mobiveil’s 50G PON LDPC Encoder/Decoder offers industry-leading LDPC error correction in a low-power, small-footprint, high-reliability solution. LDPC incorporates this advanced technology to ensure reliable high-speed data transmission over optical fiber.
50G PON operates at much higher data rates, making it more sensitive to noise, dispersion, and optical impairments. LDPC provides powerful error correction to maintain link performance.

Mobiveil LDPC IP is available in 2 versions:
High performance 50G LDPC IP
  • 50Gbps throughput at an average 0.01 input BER (hard decoding)
  • LDPC output error rate below 1E-12 at input BER is 0.01
  • LDPC decoder achieves the output error rate below 1E-12 at input BER 0.01
Small Footprint 50G LDPC IP
  • Configurable IP core suitable for 50G PON applications with lower average input BER
  • Footprint reduction is determined by the average input BER
  • LDPC IP footprint is calculated based on the average input BER
  • Reduced Complexity LDPC IP Core achieving 50Gbps with input BER=0.005 is 60% smaller than Full Performance LDPC IP Core
  • Small Footprint 50G LDPC IP core achieves 50Gbps with input BER of 0.005 and is 60% smaller than High Performance LDPC IP Core
